These are great for a classroom given that iPads used in schools still use older headphones.

The color of these is nice and the volume is pretty good…other than that these are simply cheap earbuds. But! When faced with these or nothing, I think my middle schoolers will be relatively happy with these. The sound is tinny, but gets the job done.

These earbuds are surprisingly sturdy. Last school year I had to buy earbuds almost twice a week & at $5 a pair it adds up really quickly. Not one of these pairs have broken semicolon a few have been lost though. They each come individually wrap which is perfect for a classroom. I’m going to get a set next year to donate to my kids classroom.

I got these earbuds because my students consistently lose or break their headphones (I know you are shocked at that). The price is good – at the time of writing this, each earbud is about 50 cents, and when you are buying for a classroom of students, prices can add up very quickly. They do come in individual bags, but most elementary students aren’t able to get them back into the little bag to store them. The pieces that go in your ear are hard plastic, which can quickly become uncomfortable. The main issue with these is that you have to fiddle with the cord and connection for them to give clear sound (instead of the crackling sound or only being able to hear it through one side). Once you get the cord to the sweet spot, they provide good sound. Every earbud I tested had this same problem. You get a lot of earbuds for a lower price, and if you are okay with the issues, it could be a good purchase.

So I got these for giveaway items for a resource fair booth setup. They are what you would expect an inexpensive set of earbuds. The pair that I picked out to test worked, but one earbud did not work as well as the other. Since we are not allowed to share supplies, but there are still audio parts of the exams, these have become a must have. I go through about 50 earbuds with each test. They work for a month or less, so think of them as disposable earbuds. The best thing is that they are under $1 a set. Every once in awhile I will get a set that does not work, but we toss it away and go on to the next one. Honestly, they just have to work for one student at least one time for them to be worth the purchase.
