Good Frame holds a lot pictures

I love the app that you can share with anyone to add photos to your frame!

I have a couple of Frameo frames and this is one of the better ones. Love the white frame. Screen quality is great, super easy to connect, very easy to share ability to send photos. Every Grandparent should have at least one of these!

The Frameo digital picture frame is fairly easy to operate, with some amount of minor frustration. Out of the box, I was able to power up and connect to my wi-fi. It downloaded an update and was ready for action. I did not download their recommended app. Initially I used a 64GB microSD card which it did not recognize. It works with a 32GB microSD card, in which I uploaded thousands of digital photos and video clips arranged in many folders. I copied all these folders under a main folder called “DCIM” on the micro SD Card. On inserting this card, the frame recognized it and provided options to play from the card or import them to the frame. Playback commences from there on. The pictures are clear and bright (18 megapixel DSLR shots). The settings menu can be used to customize several items such as playback time, brightness, etc. The frame can be mounted in landscape or portrait mode by screwing in the backrest appropriately. It plays videos too and shows a volume control on the screen, but the sound is merely passable being tinny. The picture automatically rotates when the frame is rotated. What I did not like: (a) the touch screen is not very sensitive and requires holding down on the option till it greys out and is recognized. (b) response time is on the longer side. (c) would have liked a direct interface via usb to a computer where pictures can be transferred to the frame, instead of via the microSD card. Recommended!

Very difficult to setup, instruction concentrate solely on receiving photos from friends via internet, little about how to display your pictures.

Even though I am not a fan of the ‘everything needs an app’ mentality of modern devices, but I have to admit: On digital frames the Frameo app comes in really handy. It’s really fun to upload and share to different frames. If a frame isn’t online Frameo will re-attempt the next time the app is used. All that works well with the frame. Screen and quality is good. It feels a bit cheap because of the plastic. One could attempt to paint the frame or glue some veneer to it, but for me the white is okay. It doesn’t seem to like some of my SD cards though and I can’t find out why. Right now it runs with a 32gb to backup the photos. Also it works with a USB charging cable which I like much better than having an extra wall-wart. Five stars!

Every year for our family gathering, we have to bring a dirty Santa gift and usually it has to be something of a hand-me-down… Well, we got this to replace our old one so we can give the old one away… I am so glad because I’m totally in love with this photo frame! Easy to set up and add pictures to, much easier than our last one. I feel kinda bad after seeing how easy this one is to set up but I’m still keeping it! It’s a nice addition on my living room wall. Well worth the value!

So you are required to install some malware on your phone to add pictures over wifi. After adding the malware to my phone, I follow their process and it says my frame is offline. The thing is literally sitting on my lap, wifi connected. Checked the number 5 times… always the same… always oops… Pretty pointless to make me connect to wifi and infect my phone if I have to use an SD card anyway.
