This stand quite literally…”folded” under the pressure unfortunately. I only have a Google Pixel 6 (not even the Pro) and while its not a small phone, its not super heavy either. My phone is apparently 207 grams, or about 7.3 ounces. With a slim leather folio case it may be 9 or 10 ounces. (an iphone 14 Pro is about the same weight, or 206 grams/7.27 ounces, a regular iphone 14 is 172 grams/6.07 ounces. and a iphone Pro Max is 240 grams/8.47 ounces.) So my phone is in the middle there, a little bulky, but less bulky than Pro versions of phones go. Even with the case on, its about as much as the iphone Pro Max with no case. So this stand coud not hold up the weight of my phone in its case, and began to literally…fold back down flat. It could support the weight only at a basic angle, about 1 inch off the ground. As soon as I tried to lift it up higher…it began to give way, and fold back down, even folded backwards to where the phone began to fall backwards…if I tried to high. If there was just a little “kickstand” type piece at the bottom, that would prevent it from buckling under the weight, so it seems to be a design flaw, or they went with what looks better asesthetically, and theres nothing there to actually reinforce the weight. Just the tension in the “joints”, and these give out…after probably only 8 or 9 ounces.
So…if one has a very light phone, this might be great. It has nice features, it looks great, and seems sturdy enough. It just sadly lacks a support beam of any kind, and will give out with a larger phone, or a phone even in a slim case. Unfortunately, I cannot find much use for it, as it should be able to hold 8 or 9 ounces of weight, but cannot.
