I had one before that I bought at a store but it broke where the phone is to be inserted. This is bound to happen after a year of stretching the claws open. I ordered this one and honey, my rearview mirror is way to large to claw around it. I sent it back but save time and make sure you dont have a super huge mirror because this will be returned and you will be looking for the mount that just hooks AROUND the arm that holds your mirror from the car ceiling itself, and NOT around the whole mirror itself. They still made a great phone holder lol. Okay bye!
This works great and locks in solid on the rearview mirror while not being obstructive. When my phone isn’t in it, I don’t even notice it’s on the mirror anymore so that’s nice.
I’m keeping 5 stars because it does what it promises, however it WOULD be awesome if someone figured out how to do the same while also providing a shock absorber or something, when we use it in our dually truck it’s bumpy so if we’re recording with the phone (for a timelapse or something) it’s bumpy footage, but that is due to our truck. This product does what it promises really well
I have purchased several phone holders for the proof using the navigation system. They all fall over if in cup holder, or fall off if attached to dashboard. This one is SO STURDY! I love it!
The phone holder seems like a very good idea on paper/pictures. That’s why I bought it. I used it once. It’s fairly easy to install and set up for your preferred viewing location. But it has 2 MAJOR flows! First – the bottom completely blocked the mirror’s night time lever, so if you attempt to flip it up when someone drives behind you and blind you, you are OUT of luck… Second – the hold of a phone with a protective case is very flimsy, to the point of the phone falling off. I guess because the “fingers” that hold the phone are with hard surface, probably should have some soft rubber ends to make a sure grip. For this 2 unacceptable flaws, I returned it, doesn’t work for me. Would NOT recommend
